New York Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Charles Gabriel ( on the ground) works with Sgt. Joseph Roth ( in the UH-60) to conduct a hoist rescue of evacuees in eastern North Carolina on Sept. 19, 2018. The New York National Guard deployed two UH-60s and 10 Soldiers from Company C, 1st Battalion 171 GSAB to support North Carolina's Hurricane Florence response.
