A KC-135 Stratotanker with the 909th Air Refueling Squadron from Kadena Air Base, Japan refuels an F-15C Eagle over the Pacific Ocean as part of exercise Valiant Shield Sept. 20, 2018. Valiant Shield is a U.S. only, biennial field training exercise (FTX) with a focus on integration of joint training in a blue-water environment among U.S. forces.
