U.S. Marines with Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, operate out of a mobile Expeditionary Manufacturing (EXMAN) system during a field exercise at Camp Pendleton, Calif., August 22, 2018. The EXMAN team supports the supply system by devising innovative solutions through their unique hybrid manufacturing abilities. Within hybrid manufacturing, metal additive manufacturing and subtractive manufacturing work together to shorten production times for essential products that cannot be promptly acquired through the supply chain system.
