Cavalry Troops from 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division along with Bulgarian soldiers participate in a Spur Ride at Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria on September 9, 2018. The Spur Ride is an US Army Cavalry tradition that tests basic soldier skills, and bringing this tradition to Bulgaria allows the two countries to train together to improve interoperability.
