Two years ago U.S. Army MEDDAC - Fort Stewart, Outgoing Commander, Col. Christopher Warner returned home to the Southern Georgia Coastal Region to take command of Winn Army Community Hospital and all outlying clinics.
During his command, Warner brought innovation and improvements to the healthcare delivery and readiness of 3rd Infantry Division and Winn ACH Soldiers. Warner achieved many milestones during his tenure at Winn. Warner saw the completion of the Out Patient clinic wing, Winn's achievement of Level 4 Trauma designation status and braved two hurricanes all while ensuring his team continued to deliver safe, quality healthcare.
Warner's legacy will live on under the new U.S. Army MEDDAC - Fort Stewart Commander Col. Michelle Munroe, the first female commander in Winn history. Munroe officially took over as the commander for Winn ACH and outlying clinics during a Change of Command Ceremony presided over by Commanding General, Regional Health Command - Atlantic, Brigadier General Telita Crosland.
Winn Army Community Hospital welcomes Col. Michelle Munroe and says goodbye to Col. Warner who will always have a special place here as a part of the Winn Family.
