The hard-working fuelers of the California Army National Guard have been nonstop at the Mendocino Complex fires, as well as the Carr Fire, getting Cal Guard’s air assets up and airborne to fight the ongoing wildfires. U.S. Army Spc. Manuel Romero, 140th Aviation Battalion, and Sgt. William Carnes, 235th Aviation Battalion, are among the fueling crew who have pumped more fuel into these blazes than any other in Cal Guard history. Here, they refuel a UH-60 Black Hawk at Lampson Field Helibase, Lakeport, California. (U.S. Army National Guard video by Staff Sgt. Eddie Siguenza)
