Indiana National Guard partners with the 25th Infantry Division during training exercise Lightning Forge. 1st Battalion, 151st Infantry Regiment, from the Indiana Army National Guard, was designated as an Associated Unit Pilot Program Partner unit with the 25th infantry division 2nd Brigade Combat Team in March 2016. The pilot leverages the Secretary of the Army's authority to associate units of the Reserve Components (Army Reserve and Army National Guard) with Active Component units for training oversight prior to mobilization.
