Aerial Port Airmen from the 387th Air Expeditionary Squadron unload equipment off of a C-17, deployed with the 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, upon its arrival to a Coalition airfield in Northeast Syria, June 23, 2018. The equipment being delivered is essential to the setup of a system belonging to the 727th Expeditionary Air Control Squadron (EACS). The 727th EACS, known as "Kingpin" is setting up a new site to support their radars that provide a constant live picture of the airspace for Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq and Syria, and the NATO Resolute Support Mission and Operation Freedom's Sentinel in Afghanistan.
