President Donald J. Trump will posthumously award the Medal of Honor to then 1st Lt. Garlin M. Conner, U.S. Army, for conspicuous gallantry during World War II, in a ceremony at the White House June 26, 2018. Conner's widow, Pauline Lyda Wells Conner, and family will join the president to commemorate Conner's example of selfless service and sacrifice. The family will first be a part of a media round-table at the Pentagon, June 25, 2018.
