The 7th Army Training Command Best Warrior Competition is made up of mentally and physically challenging events, all designed to further test Soldier skills, endurance, fortitude and resourcefulness as well as intellectual and problem-solving capabilities. The three day competition took place from June 19 – June 21, 2018 in the Grafenwoehr Training Area. Eight Soldiers competed for top honors with 1st Lt. Robert Martin winning in the officer category; Staff Sgt. Cesar Gonzalez winning in the Noncommissioned Officer category; and Spc. Derek Teegardin winning in the junior enlisted category.
