British and German bridging equipment has been used to move US Army Stryker vehicles across a river in Lithuania.
The event was just one activity included in the US-led exercise Saber Strike which is taking place across the Baltics and Poland. It includes around 18,000 troops from 19 NATO Allies and partners. The exercise is aimed at building readiness in an integrated training environment.
The units involved in the river crossing included the 75 Engineer Regiment (GBR) and the 130th Engineer Battalion (GER).
The footage includes shots of British and German M3 Amphibious Rigs launching into the river and being used as a ferry to transport US Army Strykers from the US Army, 2nd Cavalry Regiment.
