Service Members assigned to Combined Joint Task Force – Hope, Forward Operating Base Miraflores, El Salvador perform physical fitness during their participation in the humanitarian aid training event Operation Beyond the Horizon, May 15, 2018. BTH 2018 is scheduled to run from the beginning of May until the end of July and will involve hundreds of Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines from all over the United States. The 90-day training event entails the building of four school buildings, one free-standing addition to a local medical clinic and conducting five Medical Readiness Exercises. Each year BTH returns to a different Central American country to provide engineer and medical missions, partnering with the host nations military.
