Service Members, from multiple branches, assigned to Operation Beyond the Horizon 2018, El Salvador, assist with the setup of a Medical Readiness Exercise site May 26, 2018. Combined Joint Task Force – Hope, the name of the Task force executing BTH 2018, is set to conduct a total of five of these MEDREDE’s during their 90 day mission. The operation is conducted in partnership with the host nation and its military. BTH 2018 is scheduled to run from the beginning of May until the end of July and involve hundreds of Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines from all over the United States. The Training exercise also entails the building of four school buildings and one free-standing addition to a local medical clinic.
