Highlights from powerlifting at the Department of Defense Warrior Games 2018, June 5, 2018. The Warrior Games, taking place June 1-9, 2018, at the U.S. Air Force Academy, are a Paralympic-style series of events for wounded, ill and injured service members from all U.S. branches of service and this year include teams from the United Kingdom Armed Forces, Australian Defence Force and Canadian Armed Forces. Notes: Weight is added to score for amputations

Eight (8) total start rights for the entire competition across all weight classes, including both men and women. Designated single body weight categories for Men & Women. Three (3) attempts or lifts are given

There are three (3) competitive rounds in the competition. Lifters Warrior Games PM Powerlifting Video Log and Noteshave 2:00 to complete each attempt. The bar must be loaded progressively for each round. Lifters may change their first attempt up to 5-minutes before the starting time indicated on their lifter's card

Athletes must grip the bar with thumbs and all fingers. Grip must not be wider than 81cm. Head may not come off the bench during the lift. Head, shoulders, buttocks, legs, and both heels must remain on the bench during the lift

Women - up to 55kg
Women - 55.01 - 67kg
Women - 67.01 - 86kg
Women - 86kg +
Men - up to 72kg
Men - 72.01 - 88kg
Men - 88.01 - 107kg
Men - 107kg +

Notables: Jonathan Weasner (ARMY) won 5 Gold Medals Saturday in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m. On Sunday, in the Prone Rifle Shooting Prelim, Weasner scored 398.3

Alan Thomas (NAVY) will be playing for a Silver Medal in Wheelchair Basketball and for a Gold Medal in Sitting Volleyball

Kenneth Guinn (USAF) will play for Gold Medals as a member of both the Wheelchair Basketball & Sitting Volleyball teams

Joshua "Smitty" Smith (USAF) won Silver Medals in the men's 100m, 200m & 400m and Bronze in both the 800m & 1500m
