Rear Adm. Scott A. Buschman assumes command of Coast Guard Atlantic Area from Vice Adm. Karl L. Schultz, Friday, May 18, 2018 at Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, Virginia. Vice Adm. Schultz has been confirmed to assume the role of Commandant of the Coast Guard on June 1. Prior to assuming command of Atlantic Area, Rear Adm. Buschman served as the Deputy Atlantic Area Commander from July 2017 to May 2018.
