Marines with Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, participate in exercise "White Viper", which consists of multiple cold-weather combat contingencies in Camp Fuji, Japan and Sendai, Japan, Jan. 22-Feb. 23, 2018. The Marines in Charlie Company learned cold weather survival as well as several new combat related training missions and operations. As the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed Marine Expeditionary Unit, the 31st MEU provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide range of military operations.
