U.S. Soldiers assigned to the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade from Fort Hood Texas conduct airfield operations Feb. 27, 2018 with the CH-47 Chinook and AH-64 Apache helicopters. The aircrews practice ground operations, sling load operations, airfield takeoffs, landings, and hovering procedures, at the Katterbach Army Airfield in Ansbach, Bavaria, Germany. The 1st Air Cavalry Brigade is on a nine-month rotation in support of Atlantic Resolve. Atlantic Resolve is a demonstration of continued U.S. commitment to collective security through a series of actions designed to reassure NATO allies and partners of America's dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
