U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Kari Giles, a public health specialist with the 116th Medical Group (MDG), Detachment 1 (DET), Georgia Air National Guard, teaches a class on the effects of ionizing radiation and the equipment used to protect personnel during Patriot South 2018 at Camp Shelby, Miss., Feb. 12, 2018. The 116th MDG DET 1 joined approximately 1,000 personnel from federal, state and local entities for the domestic operations training exercise sponsored by the National Guard Bureau at the Combined Arms Combat Training Facility at Camp Shelby, Miss.
