U.S. Air Force 165th Security Forces Airmen trekked two miles in a "Log Walk" to honor Staff Sgt. Gregory Beecham Feb.10, 2018 at the 165th Airlift Wing in Savannah, Georgia. "Beechwood", the log dedicated in his namesake, carries meaning for being the first log transported by Beecham and fellow squadron members by foot across the base. The Log Walk derives from a tradition of carrying a fallen security forces member "home" to the place he or she served. (U.S. Air National Guard video by Staff Sgt. Chelsea Smith)
