Marines and a CH-53E with the "Heavy Haulers" of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 462 conduct external-load drills at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Jan. 31. Continuing to do this type of training increases effectiveness and the ability of the Marines by better preparing them for expeditionary environments to ensure 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing remains combat-ready, deployable on a short notice and lethal when called into action.
