With assistance from the Air Force Small Business Innovation Research Program, Edaptive Computing, Inc. develop an analysis framework called Syscape.
Syscape has a collection of three usable capabilities within the framework that can be used over and over again for a variety of application domains. It allows a user to capture the structure of a complex process or system and then associate with each element of the structure, a behavior. The behavior is done using a model of some sort. It could be in any format that the user desires, like Java or C++, or it could be hardware description language like VHDL or even in a language such as MatLab.
The third aspect of Syscape are plug-ins. They are the ones which analyze the structure and behavior that user imported into Syscape. So the user defines the behavior, the user defines the structure, and then the analysis is performed at the plug-ins.
Edaptive has been able to apply it to a variety of application domains such as supply chain analytics, cyber security, system of systems analysis, business process optimization, to name a few application domains.
The Syscape technology is just one of many successful innovations enabled by the U.S. Air Force’s SBIR and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs. For more information, visit afsbirsttr.com.
