The Dutch Warship HNLMS ZEVEN PROVINCIEN under command of CAPTAIN (OF-5) R.J.A.M. (Ruud) RAMAEKERS is operation of the coast of Somalia as part of the Standing NATO Maritime Group 1 (SNMG-1). In this B-roll there are statements from the Commander, the bridge and the boarding teams. The footage shows the friendly boarding of a United Arab Emirates (UAE) merchant vessel, which was not acting suspiciously. The rationale behind boarding as many vessels as possible is to gain and raise the Maritime Situational Awareness in the Area of Operations (AOO).
