On Dec. 15, 2017, 910th Airlift Wing leadership held a ceremony at building 201, dedicating the building as the Kubli Morale and Wellness Center, honoring the legacy of Fred Kubli Jr., a World War II veteran and avid volunteer supporter of Youngstown Air Reserve Station. Fred, as the 910th's honorary commander and an honorary Air Force Reserve brigadier general, was a fixture of positive morale at YARS. This video portrays an interview with Fred Kubli Jr., who passed away in 2016, and his wife Mary "Laverne" Kubli. It was filmed in 2013 and first released in its present form at the ceremony dedicating the Kubli Morale and Wellness Center in his honor.
