Hurricane María hit our Puerto Rico ten days after hurricane Irma, both storms left the island devastated, without power, communication, or water supply. The current situation has increased the risk contagion, with the spread of viruses and infectious diseases. Lilliam Rodriguez is the president of the vaccine Coalition of Puerto Rico or VOCES, she talks about the work VOCES does. It’s the height of the flu season and Ms. Rodriguez explains how the lack of infrastructure can effect people living in close quarters.
