Description: More than 100 wounded warrior competitors and spectators from across the Pacific region gathered at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Nov. 6, 2017, for the opening ceremonies of the Tripler Army Medical Center - Warrior Transition Battalion, Pacific Regional Trials. The adaptive sports competition honors and showcases the power and resiliency of our wounded warriors as they compete in eight adaptive sports competitions: swimming, track and field, wheelchair basketball, shooting, archery, sitting volleyball, and cycling. Wounded warrior athletes competed in Paralympic-style swimming events on day one (Nov. 6) of the trials at Richardson Pool, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
