41 days after hurricane maria made landfall in Puerto Rico, the ROTC Cadets attending the university of puerto rico returned to school. Many Cadets had volunteered to help in the relief efforts.ROTC Cadet Rafael Rivera quickly went to work with his National Guard unit, the 480th Military Police Company, based at Ft. Buchanan. Cadet Rivera describes some of the missions his unit performed. The rescue work and following life support missions made for long days, Cadet Rivera explains why he’s glad to return to being a student and cadet.
