The U.S. formalized diplomatic relations with Thailand in 1833.
Thailand is one of the U.S.’s oldest allies in Southeast Asia.
It’s located at the center of the Indochinese peninsula in Southeast Asia.
The two countries signed a Mutual-Defense Treaty Alliance in 1954, over 60 years ago
In 2003, the U.S. designated Thailand as a major non-NATO ally.
This bilateral partnership continues to increase trust and interoperability among our militaries
