Diana Holland, commander of south Atlantic division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, explains the importance of USACE efforts to restore power at Centro Medico Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which was compromised during Hurricane Maria. Hurricane Maria formed in the Atlantic Ocean and affected islands in the Caribbean Sea, including Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. US military assets supported FEMA as well as state and local authorities in rescue and relief efforts.
