The North Carolina National Guard begin their call up to State active duty outside of the state of North Carolina. They have deployed to Puerto Rico along with other States in response to the devastating effects Hurricane Maria had on the Island Territory. From call up to activation the the troops have begun to arrive and as SSG Ron Lee reports not a moment too soon.
