    7 Foundational Movement – Squat
Primary Muscle Groups – Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Glutes
Secondary Muscle Groups – Shoulders, Upper Back
    Preparation:
The Marine will grasp the band and bring it over their head so the arms are fully extended. The Marine will pull their hands apart until their arms form a “Y” over their head.
    Execution:
Maintaining tension in the band while holding it directly over-head, the Marine will start the movement from the hips and descend into a squat. They will keep the chest up and the feet flat on the deck. From the bottom, the Marine will stand back up to the starting position.
Common Mistakes: - Dropping the chest
    - Letting the arms drop forward
    - Not maintaining tensions in the band
