Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools hosted a ceremony to recognize the Montford Point Marines remembering the anniversary of when the first African American men reported to now Camp Johnson. Military leaders, community elected officials, former Montford Pointers and their family members were in attendance. The Congressional Gold Medal was given posthumously to the surviving family members of Montford Point Marines Joseph Orthello Johnson, Virgil W. Johnson, John Thomas Robinson, and Leroy Lee, Sr.
