The United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command and the United States Forces Korea honored the newly appointed, Republic of Korea Minister of National Defense Song, Young-Moo, on U-S Army Garrison Yongsan. This is the minister’s first visit to the command headquarters in office. Minister Song, GEN Kevin Brooks (UNC/CFC/USFK Commander), and GEN Lee, Sang-Eui (Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, ROK) inspected the troops during the ceremony, a time honored tradition dating back hundreds of years. This symbolic review allowed the minister to witness the troops of the Combined Forces Command for the first time. Special occasions such as this, publicly display the ironclad bond of the ROK and U-S alliance.
