Maj. Gen. Mark Link is the commander of Army Reserve Medical Command. Over each summer units from AR-Medcom's family, go out for two weeks to serve communities around America with Medical and Dental and other special skills. This allows Soldiers to sharpen their skills as well as provide community clinics the added staff they need to see the backlog of patients.
Innovative Readiness Training is a training opportunity that provides training and readiness for our Army Reserve personnel to ensure combat readiness while addressing the needs within our local communities. IRT missions fortify our democratic ideals by strengthening the bond between American citizens & the U.S. military, showcasing the diversity & operational excellence of those who work together to secure our nation’s freedom.
U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to Army Reserve Medical Command’s 7221st Medical Support Unit and Navy medical personnel assigned to 4th Medical Bn., 4th Marine Logistics Group, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve in partnership with Round Valley Indian Health Services, will be offering health care services at the Round Valley Indian Health Clinic in Covelo, California.
Approximately 15 medical personnel from 7221st MSU and 4th Dental Bn. will support the clinic from 17-28 JUL 2017. These clinics support a tribal population of over 5,000 people.
