Description:
Soldiers and Airmen are currently completing the Ranger Assessment Course at Fort Bliss, Texas. The course started July 10 and runs through the 25. If Soldiers or Airmen pass the course, they have a chance to attend Ranger School at Fort Benning, Georgia. Ranger School is one of the premier leadership schools in the Department of Defense.
The Air Force holds a Ranger Assessment Course at least once a year. This course is a joint course, with both Soldiers and Airmen being assessed together. This is the first time a fully integrated course has been conducted. Air Force Rangers from across the globe are acting as instructors, along with cadre members from 1st Armored Division’s Iron Training Detachment.
