Located at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa's Joint Operations Center operates 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, and is the operations synchronization center for all U.S. military operations taking place within the 10-country area of responsibility. The JOC serves as the "on-call center" for CJTF-HOA's missions, which include providing personnel recovery and crisis response to U.S. forces and personnel within the region. CJTF-HOA's primary mission is to enable our regional partners to neutralize violent extremist organizations while enabling access and freedom of movement within East Africa in order to protect and defend the interests of the United States and Coalition Partners. In addition, CJTF-HOA is prepared to execute crisis response within East Africa. This video gives brief glimpse of the command and control center within this joint environment.
