NATO’s spearhead land force, the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) practised rapid movement to NATO’s southern flank for the first time. Ready to move within 2-3 days, the multinational force of Albanian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Spanish, UK and US troops went from their home bases in Europe to the Cincu training grounds in Romania, some driving vehicles and equipment from ports in Greece up through Bulgaria to their destination.
In Romania, they met host nation forces and trained side by side in a multinational battle group, culminating in a live fire display for VIPs on Wednesday 14 June 2017.
