The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) conducted a training and evaluation session of National Odor Recognition Testing (NORT) to 30 local, state and federal explosive-detection canine teams on Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 6, 2017. Law Enforcement Marines, and their working dogs, also participated in the training aimed at improving the canine team’s ability to detect 10 fundamental explosive odors. The training allows handlers to exchange information with colleagues and ask questions of ATF canine and explosives subject matter experts. (U.S. Marine Corps Video by Lance Cpl. Desiree D King)
