NATO Allies mark the beginning of NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence at Tapa Army Base, Estonia. Troops from France and the United Kingdom raised their national flags at the ceremony.
NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence, decided at the Warsaw Summit in July 2016, will see four new deployments that bring multinational battlegroups into Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to respond to changing security environments on the Alliance’s eastern flank.
