A b-roll file of Combined Joint Logistics Over the Shore Operations performed at Operation Pacific Reach in Pohang, South Korea, April 2017. B-roll includes video of the Offshore Petroleum Discharge System (OPDS) system being used to move fuel (notional) from watercraft to the shore. The U.S. Army working alongside the Marines Corps maintained the capability to transport fuel and water from the sea to major logistical transportation hubs for US and Republic of Korea U.S. Marines and Soldiers. The 545th Theater Harbormaster Operations Detachment, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, served as the Beach Command Group for the exercise. OPRex17 is a bilateral training event that will highlight Combined and Joint multi-domain, multi-nodal capabilities by exercising an Area Distribution Center (ADC), an Air Terminal Supply Point (ATSP), Logistics Over the Shore (LOTS), and the use of rail, inland waterways, and coastal lift operations to validate the operational reach concept. U.S. personnel and ROK Forces personnel will participate in OPRex17, augmented by U.S. personnel from the U.S. and bases in the Pacific region.
