The Mississippi Army National Guard hosted Exercise Marlinspike II, an interagency exercise designed for a unified response to weapons of mass destruction threats. More than 30 state agencies, federal agencies and Mississippi Army and Air National Guard units are participating. The exercise will enhance interagency coordination in response to WMD threats from maritime routes. Exercise events are held across the Mississippi Gulf Coast, with the command post located at the Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport. (Mississippi National Guard video by Sgt.
