Marine Corps Community Services Cherry Point hosted the Battle Challenge on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., March 23-24, 2017. Teams assigned to various units on MCAS Cherry Point signed up to compete against each other in the timed event. The challenge included an obstacle course where competitors had to climb a cargo net, jump over a seven-foot wall, negotiate monkey-bars, carry 45 pound jugs, and drag a 200 pound dummy to the finish line. The first, second, and third place finishers of the competition won monetary funds toward a unit event of their choosing. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl. Cody Lemons/Released)
