Pfc. Timothy Makara and some of his fellow CH-47 Chinook repairers taught classes to D Co., 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, on functional operations of the engines they maintain.
"It helps us do our job better to know the aircraft and know what we're working on," Makara said.
Sgt. Clarence Parker, D Co., said having maintainers gain understanding of the different engine components helps them understand how they effect the plane. This prepares them to potentially be flight mechanics in the future, but it also helps them understand their value in the overall #AtlanticResolve mission.
