In the future, true advantage will be achieved through the speed and integration of information. To do this we must truly integrate all war-fighting domains—land, sea, air, space, and cyber—and all war fighting functions—for example: counter-air, missile defense, airlift, close air support, etc. Achieving a military advantage will depend on harnessing the vast amount of information our sensors can generate, fusing it quickly into decision-quality information, and creating effects simultaneously from any domain, region or command anywhere in the world. This is why my third focus area is enhancing multi-domain command and control.
