“We have the ability with our 950 Airmen to execute real world contingency missions, 24/7 and 365. We never shut down. And we do it while maintaining readiness to execute the GRF (Global Response Force) mission set at a moments notice.” Col. Kelly Holbert, 43rd AMOG commander.
Strategically located at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina, the 43rd Air Mobility Operations Group acts as the link between the Army and Air Force. They are responsible for the rapid strategic deployment of joint force, which not only gives them one of the most unique missions in the Air Force, but also makes them a key component in the GRF. The 43rd AMOG inspected more than 2000 items and 14 million pounds of cargo last year alone, making it one of the busiest cargo joint air drop inspection offices in all of Air Mobility Command.
