Operation Reliable Energy for Northeast Winters (opRENEW) is the First Coast Guard district's effort to ensure Northeast communities have the security, supplies, energy and emergency resources needed throughout the winter. The Coast Guard works throughout the winter to ensure the Northeast and the tri-state area have safe, efficient, and navigable waterways which can support domestic commerce, international trade, and national defense.
