Sgt. Wesley Geary explains his role as a cyber network operator with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Jan. 10, 2017. Commonly known as an information technology technician in the civilian sector, cyber network operators install, configure and maintain cyber networks, both hardware and software. As the 2nd MAW help desk non-commissioned officer, Geary’s occupational specialty allows him to assist service members and civilians with any technology issues that prevent them from completing their mission.
