A Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay helicopter crew rescues three people Nov. 22, 2016, after they had become isolated in the forest, south of Eureka, Calif.

Humboldt County Sheriff's Department notified Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay that a 14-year-old female was lost in the woods near Ridgewood, Calif. Reports indicated that the girl had gone hiking behind her house and had become disorientated. Two searchers on the ground located her with the help of the helicopter crew, and later became isolated in rough terrain, requiring the hoist rescue conducted by the Coast Guard.
