Staff Sgt. Jacob Blount with the Illinois National Guard conducts the Lumber Cut match on the third day of the 2016 U.S. Army Forces Command Weapons Marksmanship Competition Nov. 9, 2016, at Fort Bragg, N.C. Expert marksmen from the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, and the U.S. Army National Guard went head to head to find out who among them would prove to be the best in each of three weapon systems: M9 Pistol, M16A4/M4A1 Rifle, and M249 SAW during the four day competition. Lumber Cut is one of the many matches that tested their skills to rapidly put rounds on target, which, in this case was a 2x4 piece of lumber.
