7th Army Training Command hosted the annual Best Squad Competition in the Grafenwoehr Training Area. There were 15 teams competing in the competition. NATO and partner nations made up 10 of the sniper teams, and there were 5 teams from the United States military. The competition lasted five days with the Norwegian sniper team taking first place, the sniper squad from Sweden took second place, while the squad from Belgium took home third place.
