Retired Lt. Col. Dick Cole, last surviving Doolittle Raider, administered the Oath of Enlistment to recruits enlisting into the Air Force Reserve and Airmen re-enlisting into the Air Force during the Wings and Wheels event in Georgetown, Del., Oct. 1, 2016. Cole was copilot to Lt. Col. James “Jimmy” Doolittle, flying in the first North American B-25 Mitchell on a one-way mission to bomb Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
